Multidisciplinary Teams
Teams are comprised of professionals representing law enforcement, the District Attorney's office, Youth Court, medical professionals, children's protective services, mental health and child advocates. The teams are located throughout the State of Mississippi. Teams meet regulary to staff and track felony child abuse cases through the legal system. There are two main goals of the team process. The first is to ensure a full range of services for each child and family. The second is to strengthen the prosecution of felony child abuse cases by coordinating the investigation among local agencies.
