 National Child Abuse Prevention Month

Three exciting opportunities to help prevent child abuse in South Mississippi:

Blue Ribbon Card Campaign coming to a school near you…

The Blue Ribbon Card Campaign will be available in participating schools in South Mississippi.  Students have a choice this year of donating to the CPCA.  For a $1.00 donation, they will have their name on a Blue Ribbon Card to be displayed in their classroom throughout the month of April. Or, for $3.00 they get their name on a “Gold” Blue Ribbon Card and a choice of a blue band bracelet or blue dog tag necklace.  A letter will be sent home to the parents with all the information about the Blue Ribbon Campaign options and will also give the parents more awareness and education about child abuse issues.

Wal-Mart is sponsoring the CPCA for the month of April to supports its child abuse awareness, education, and prevention activities during National Child Abuse Prevention Month.  Throughout the month of April the CPCA will be visiting all 11 Wal-Mart stores in South Mississippi giving shoppers an opportunity to participate in the Blue Ribbon Card Campaign and make donations.  Wal-Mart will also host a Garden Center Festival on those days to further promote the CPCA’s efforts.

• April 26 – Pascagoula Wal-Mart
• April 26 – Picayune Wal-Mart
• April 27 – W aveland Wal-Mart

Mississippi Coast Coliseum Crawfish Festival and Family Fair 

April 19 -20, 2008 - The CPCA will receive $1 from every ticket sold the first weekend of the Crawfish Festival. Admission to the Lifestyle Expo is free with paid admission to the Crawfish Fest. The event will include booths from local companies who can offer displays, demonstrations, free sampling, couponing, recruitment, and more.  Your complany can take this opportunity to donate and reserve a booth or choose one of our sponsorship options. A $300 sponsorship allows your company the opportunity to include your company's promotional materials in the Expo "goody bag" which will be given to all attendees. A $600 sponsorship allows your company the opportunity to include your company's promotional materials in the "goody bag's and the opportunity to place your company's sign or banner inside the Expo. And  $1000 entitles you to reserve a booth inside the Expo.
